John Fritz

John Fritz is a senior Smith Scholar majoring in Economics with minors in Political Economy and Finance. He is from Covington Kentucky and graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati in 2019. He has a passion for sports, business, and the relationship between the two. His articles primarily focus on economics and social issues.

Emily Branca is a senior Smith Scholar majoring in Economics and Business Analytics with a minor in Political Economy. Originally from Cochranville, PA, Emily is passionate about analytics and further developing her skills and expertise in the field. After completing their undergraduate degrees, Emily plans to pursue a career in analytics in the Cincinnati area. Patrick Hemmig

Patrick Hemmig is a senior Smith Scholar majoring in finance with a minor in political economy. Originally from Rockville, Maryland, Patrick is passionate about sports, cinema, and music. After completing his undergraduate degree, Patrick Hemmig plans to move back to the Washington DC area to find a job in the field of finance. Patrick's articles focus on a range of topics from the use of drug courts in the Ohio and Kentucky area, to the financial and economic news in the world of sports.

Jason is passionate about travel, language learning, and politics. After his undergraduate degrees, Jason would like to obtain a Masters in Economics and then pursue a Law Degree. Trevor Tiemeyer is a senior Smith Scholar majoring in Accounting & Finance with minors in Political Economy and Economics. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Trevor is passionate about financial literacy, community development, travel, and education. After completing their undergraduate degrees, Trevor plans to obtain his Master of Accountancy and then eventually his Ph.D in Accountancy. Many of Trevor's articles focus on economics and the arts.
Seth Workman

Seth Workman is a Senior Economics major with minors in Political Science, Political Economy, and Finance. Born in Tainan, Taiwan, Seth grew up in Mansfield, Ohio and is the Founding Student Director of the Smith Legal Success Project, Secretary and Social Media Manager of the Xavier Club Golf team, and often pickup basketball player and home cook. After graduating from Xavier, Seth intends to enroll in law school and hopes to one day become a professional athlete agent. Seth’s writing centers on the law and the judiciary, empirical economics, economic history, and sport.
